Math Club: Grades 4&5

 

    I am thrilled to invite you to join Central Boulevard’s Math Club! This club will meet on twelve Tuesdays throughout the school year and will focus on enrichment activities and problem solving. The games and puzzles will encourage the children to strengthen critical thinking skills and think about problems in new and innovative ways.

 

    The fifth graders will also have a special opportunity to participate in the Mathematical Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools. MOEMS is a nonprofit public foundation which provides the chance for students to engage in creative problem solving activities which develop a student’s ability to reason, to be logical, to be resourceful, and occasionally to be ingenious. The children will participate in five “contests” and can receive individual recognition for their efforts.
